PROJECT CONCEPT STATEMENT.

The idea of Looking for Blue:

The Staircase Sound Project will be focused on understanding the physical aspects of the space surrounding.

​

The concept of blue is signified as air and sound, which indicated the way that how we connected air and sound with the space itself.

REFLECTION.

​

In this staircase sound project, we have been went through several times of struggling towards the idea of “looking for blue”.

To understand a brand new place for us is not an easy task yet it is pretty much meaningful for us which somehow help us to break through from our comfort zone.

In spite of showing merely few cultural element of the site (Ho Man Tin MTR area), we tend to explore the physical location itself by understanding how a space is constructed and resonated with the passengers and people bypass everyday.

To be precise, I think there are still rooms of improvement for us. For example, the method of recording the whole project can be more mature and further developed. Moreover, the duration of setting the project can be prolonged, or even can test for several days and time slot in order to find out different audience’s reaction towards our project.
